My Personal Journey to Pain Free

If you've taken one of my workshops or read one of my blog posts at SaraHauber.com, you have a pretty good idea what I went through on my way to where I am now: A functional-fitness and wellness coach with a 20-year history of keeping my own previously chronic back pain at bay.
I am open about my experience with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, my long stretch of brace wearing, and the metal that not-so-gracefully crowds and decorates my spine since 1992.
And I'm also the biggest advocate in the world for what I call "freedom despite limitations."
I believe we all have our own special challenges in life. Whether physical obstacles like a curved spine, emotional obstacles like low self esteem, or intellectual obstacles like a lack of information or training, we are all overcoming something on our way to a healthier, better aligned, less restricted life.
My work as the developer of the Hauber Method™ and as a coach is to help you get over those obstacles on your way to the life you love.
Or, better yet, I help you work within any current limitations you have until (or unless) those limitations cease to exist. I want you to find freedom despite your limitations so that you can feel good no matter what is going on inside of you or outside of you, in your environment.
Because when it comes to pain, there are internal causes and external causes.

It's true. I never had pain until I had surgery.
That's when my chronic pain began. And that's what started my journey to learning the absolute best ways to eliminate pain when it starts, and stop it from coming back.

Yep, the Hauber Method™ has been a "method" for more than 10 years already! And although everything I created back then remains correct and super effective, I have continued to learn more about the mind-body connection and how we can use our thoughts and emotions in even more ways to help chronic physical pain dissipate.
Since I started using the exercises and stretches that I teach in the Hauber Method™, I only ever have pain when I am
(1) not consistent with the exercises, or
(2) ignoring some emotional pain that needs to be brought into the light and examined.
When you work with me, I help you strategize ways to be consistent with the exercises that are exactly right for your body, and begin to examine any emotional contributors to your experience of pain. And sessions with me are always undertaken in a safe, welcoming, open, and even fun environment. I wouldn't have it any other way.
